Book recommendations from the team
We recently discovered something about the SDA team – we’re a group of keen readers.
From business and productivity to fiction and memoirs, there’s a wide mix of books being read across the team at the moment. We thought it would be worth sharing a few of our recent favorites in case you’re looking for your next read.
What the team has been reading
Here are some of the books that have come recommended internally:
• The Let Them Theory by Mel Robbins
• The One Thing by Gary Keller and Jay Papasan
• The 12 Week Year by Brian Moran and Michael Lennington
• 1984 by George Orwell
• The Housemaid series by Freida McFadden
• West with Giraffes by Lynda Rutledge
• Great Big Beautiful Life by Emily Henry
• Eat That Frog by Brian Tracy
• On Truth and On Bullsht* by Harry Frankfurt
• Jimmy Carter: Rivers & Dreams by Jim Barger Jr. and Dr. Carlton Hicks
• Jump and Find Joy by Hoda Kotb
It’s a fairly eclectic mix, which probably says a lot about the team.
A current favorite worth sharing
One book we wanted to highlight in particular is They Ask, You Answer by Marcus Sheridan, which a member of the team is currently reading.
If you’re looking for fresh marketing ideas, this is well worth your time. The core message is simple but effective: marketing shouldn’t sit with one department. It works best when it becomes part of how the whole organization communicates.
Sheridan focuses on answering the questions your customers are already asking, openly and honestly. It’s a practical approach that encourages clarity, builds trust, and supports long-term growth rather than short-term wins.
The audiobook is also a strong option, especially as it’s narrated by the author himself, which brings the ideas to life in a more engaging way.
Looking for your next read?
If you’re after something new, there should be at least one idea here worth exploring.
And if you’ve read something recently that you’d recommend, we’re always open to adding more to the list.
