HIPnation is a Great Option for Small-Business Healthcare
There are several reasons businesses may (or may not) offer health insurance as an employee benefit. Offering this benefit can draw people to work for your company, and it can even boost job satisfaction. For small businesses, employee health insurance can be expensive, and in some cases, it may not seem worth it. As small-business owners ourselves, Stanley and I know how difficult it can be to decide upon a health plan for your company. When it was time for us to choose something new, we looked for alternatives to the traditional health insurance model in hopes that we would find something better-suited for small businesses.
An Alternative to Modern Insurance
After exploring various avenues and alternatives, we landed on HIPnation. The company, Healthcare Impact Partners (HIP), was founded by a group of physicians and a healthcare attorney who wanted to refocus the healthcare system on what’s important: patients. They went on to develop a patient-centered healthcare delivery system that helps both individuals and employers save on yearly healthcare costs. How? Their service covers 100% of the cost of everyday medical expenses, such as a trip to the primary care physician, and uses a cost-sharing model for more expensive medical events, such as hospital admissions.
Healthcare Plans Designed with Your Employees in Mind
What makes HIPnation truly unique is their process of designing individualized plans for each company they partner with. They work directly with employers to create a health plan that will best meet each business’s needs. They even have options for companies that may not be able to afford to spend more than $100 a month on a health plan.
Stanley and I chose the HIPnation/Sedera plan, which combines Direct Primary Care (DPC) and cost-sharing. HIPnation partners with Sedera, which is a medical cost-sharing company, to help its members pay for healthcare outside of primary care. Our overall experience with the company has been very positive. If you’ve been looking for an alternative to health insurance for your company, check out HIPnation at www.hipnation.com.
