For the small businesses that keep the lights on in your town.
Accounting, payroll, and tax planning for agencies, consultants, retail, and local owner-led businesses across Georgia.
We work with the businesses next door
Some of the most rewarding work we do is with the small, owner-led businesses that anchor their communities. Marketing agencies, consulting firms, retail shops, salons, studios, local professional firms. The work isn’t glamorous from the outside. The numbers matter just the same.
How SDA helps professional services and Main Street businesses

Payroll for small teams of all kinds, including 1099 contractors
S Corp setup and owner compensation planning
Quarterly tax planning to smooth out the lumps
Retirement plan setup for owners and key employees
Cash flow planning and pricing conversations when you’re ready
I’m a one-person LLC. Is SDA overkill for me?
Maybe, maybe not. For very small sole proprietors with simple needs, we may suggest another firm. For one-person businesses that are growing fast, planning to hire, or sitting on real tax savings opportunities, SDA is often worth it. We’ll be honest about the fit.
How do you bill agencies and consultants?
Most service businesses fit a monthly fixed-fee model. We quote based on transaction volume, payroll size, sales tax filings, advisory level, and complexity. We don’t bill by the hour for recurring work.
What’s the value of switching from my current accountant?
That depends on what you’re getting today. If your books are up to date, your tax bill is predictable, and you talk to your accountant year-round, you may not need to switch. If two of those three are missing, the conversation is worth having.
