Simplify Virtual Meetings with a Zoom Personal Meeting Room

If you regularly meet with clients, colleagues, or business contacts on Zoom, consider setting up a Personal Meeting Room (PMR). A Personal Meeting Room provides you with a permanent meeting link and meeting ID that remain the same, making it easy for others to connect with you without needing a new invitation for every meeting.

To set up your Personal Meeting Room:

  1. Sign in to your Zoom account through a web browser.

  2. Navigate to Settings and ensure the Personal Meeting Room feature is enabled.

  3. Visit your Profile page to view your Personal Meeting ID and permanent meeting link.

  4. Share this link with frequent contacts or add it to your email signature for convenient access.

Keep Security in Mind

Because your Personal Meeting Room uses a permanent link, it is important to take a few precautions:

  • Enable the Waiting Room feature so participants must be admitted before joining.

  • Avoid posting your Personal Meeting Room link publicly on websites or social media.

  • Admit only expected participants into the meeting.

  • Lock the meeting once all attendees have arrived.

  • For additional security, Zoom also allows you to require a meeting passcode, although in many cases the passcode is embedded within the meeting link participants receive.

A Personal Meeting Room can be a simple but effective way to streamline client communications, reduce scheduling hassles, and provide a consistent meeting location for your virtual conversations—all while maintaining control over who joins your meetings.
